Any instrument which incentivizes people to form large groups around shared financial interests has the potential to be extremely evil and dangerous. The danger is related to the size of the community and how much wealth they have (how integrated they are into the economic system). Mega-corps are far more dangerous to society than small cryptocurrencies with only a few thousand members. It doesn't make sense to say that crypto is evil any more than it makes sense to say that companies are evil.
