I came up with the exact same startegy when I graduated from school but after hashing it out with some friends, we understood that it could only work 100% of the time if you had an infinte amount of money. What happens is that this strategy works until it doesn't. Eventually you will lose many times in a row after doubling up a few times and before you know it, you're betting everything you have on a single round.
