If you're looking for recognition or money in return for honest work, don't join this industry. Do it as a hobby. The industry was fine 15 years ago. But now it's terrible and getting worse. That said, I struggle to think of any white-collar industry which rewards honest value-creating work nowadays.

It may be a systemic issue. I feel bad for GenZ - I sincerely hope that there is some kind of financial collapse or radical change which will make room for younger generations to start fresh. The entire global economy is extremely manipulated and white collar professions are mostly parasitic nowadays. It doesn't have to be that way but the global monetary system is flawed and it creates those incentives.
