IMO, Milton Friedman was right about essentially everything. His main shortcomings were the result of his blind spots. He didn't foresee the potential for a totalitarian power to arise out of a free market system through the use of a government-controlled monetary system... Though, in his defence, he did talk about the dangers of low interest rates but IMO he did not sufficiently condemn the idea of government-controlled money. He also failed to see how this system would be easily gamed by big corporations.
