Interesting how the author mentions 'sane Americans' on the first line. Makes it sound like America is full of lunatics.
I disagree with the premise. Anyone can appear insane when they are pushed to the edge. The problem with most people on the left (particularly people in tech) is their failure to realize that many honest, hard-working people have essentially been robbed by a severely manipulated monetary and political system and these people are suffering and they're angry; they're absolutely right to be angry. Their apparent insanity is merely a result of the fact that they just don't know who to blame and so they misdirect that blame.
To point to Trump as the cause of the problem and Biden as the solution is disingenuous. They are both a symptom of the problem.
Any discussion which tries to steer attention away from this fundamental fact is further hurting honest hard-working people and driving them insane.
Unless you're one of the handful of people who actually understand what's been happening to our financial system over the last decade, you shouldn't call these people insane. If you had been in their unfortunate position, you also would have been angry and you also wouldn't have known who to blame...
First phase is realizing that there is a problem. Second phase is knowing what is causing the problem. Third phase is trying to solve the problem.
If you don't see any problems in our financial system, you're not even on the first phase. These 'insane' people are actually ahead of you.
