I've been going through hard times for the last 10 years or so. Things are looking better now from my perspective. Before, you couldn't even discuss flaws in the system because you'd be shunned (too few people were affected by those issues). At least now, the flaws are so obvious and ubiquitous that essentially everyone knows what you're talking about regardless of their background.
