There are groups of individuals in government and industry who are determined to destroy the reputation of cryptocurrencies and DAOs. IMO, this is why there are so many scams in the industry. Scams are essentially encouraged and scammers tend to be protected by government agencies. I'm saying this as someone who has worked in the industry.
