This is a sad story. Unfortunately, many people today are greedy, lazy and selfish.

All I can say (as a guy who married a foreign woman) is that if someone wants to immigrate to a country via marriage, they may need to compromise on certain things. Many women want a rich, attractive, confident man who is also generous. It’s rare for someone to have all of these traits.

When my wife met me over a decade ago, I was a shy, broke student with no confidence. I was a real door mat. She helped me to build up my confidence over time. It makes sense to compromise on things which can be changed later but never compromise on what you need but which cannot be changed.
